Heavy Metals: What Are They & How Can We Naturally Remove Them From Our Bodies?

I’ve recently made a video discussing the dangers of heavy metals and radiation. I spoke about how to remove this toxicity from the body and I wanted to write a blog post to coincide with it.
The technical definition of a “heavy metal” is: “metals with relatively high densities, atomic weights, or atomic numbers.”
These metals are found in numerous places such as common foods, smoke pollution and even the general environment. They’re essentially unescapable in modern day society, but there’s a few things you can do to limit your exposure and begin to remove some of these accumulated toxins from your body.
First, let’s discuss specifically where the various heavy metals are found:
If you live in a big city like I do, you’re exposed to heavy metals every day. Heavy metals like cadmium, lead and mercury are common air pollutants and are emitted (predominantly into the air) as a result of various industrial activities. All major cities produce heavy metals into the atmosphere which we end up consuming by simply breathing. In the past, I’ve looked up the weather for New York City on my phone and have seen warning messages like “Low air quality. Those will low immune systems should be cautious”. This is why I’d say for a person living in a city, a heavy metal detox every 6 months is ideal.
If you use brands such as Lysol, Tide, most common shampoos, laundry detergents, soaps and toothpastes, you’re exposed. These products contain heavy metals and other harmful acidic chemicals that can promote both long term and short term “dis-ease” of the body. Over 400 studies have found that fluoride, for example, is a known neurotoxin. Fluoride can be found in many name brand toothpastes today. Neurotoxins attack the nervous system. They build up in the body over time and eventually lead to “dis-eases” such as Alzheimers, Dementia, depression, anxiety and much much more.
Even non organic fruits and vegetables are heavily sprayed with heavy metal containing pesticides and herbicides. Pesticides and herbicides destroy your gut lining and your general microbiome. Your microbiome is where the friendly gut bacteria (probiotics) live. Their job is to take care of you and all the “bad guys” that we may accidentally consume or come across. If we have a bad gut microbiome (bad gut flora), this opens us up to eventually developing a plethora of illnesses- or what the medical community calls “autoimmune diseases”. The pesticides and herbicides in non-organic produce can also lead to the wear and tear in our thin gut lining, eventually leading to what the medical community calls “leaky gut”. “Leaky gut” is so common in today’s society and still many people haven’t traced it back to the foods they’re consuming. Humans must understand that the first aspect of health is always first and foremost their consumption.
We also have the heavy metals that are in the vaccines which we as humans receive before we’ve reached even 5% of development. These chemicals are injected intramuscularly, bypassing the bloodstream for essentially 100% absorption. Heavy metal containing foods DO negatively affect the human body, but the metals in those foods don’t get fully absorbed.
or example: When humans eat fish, they’re exposed to mercury or fat-soluble pollutants, but some of those toxins will be released through regular elimination (when using the restroom). On the other hand, when you’re injected with chemicals intramuscularly, these harmful heavy metals and additives go into your body and often stay there unless you detox them out.
Here are some of the known heavy metals/ harmful substances in the vaccines that we receive from when we’re babies all the way into adulthood, and how they can eventually lead to dis-ease:

Slow accumulation of heavy metals are implicated in a number of neurological diseases:
 
1. Autism
2. Hyperactivity disorder
3. Encephalopathy
4. Parkinson’s disease
5. Alzheimer’s disease
(Specific links have been between lead and mercury accumulation and the development of learning disorders such as autism)
7. Cardiovascular disease
(Cardiovascular diseases, such as hypertension and cardiac rhythm illnesses, have been linked to the accumulation of lead in the body)
8. Reproductive problems
9. Much more
This is why those thoroughly trained in detoxification and natural holistic healing say that the only true “disease” is toxemia. It’s build up of toxins from years and years of damage. The human body can take a LOT, but everything reaches a tipping point.
In addition to heavy meals, we’re exposed to radiation on a daily basis from all of our electronics- phones, computer, wifi routers, microwaves, etc. This radiation is usually not enough to kill us right away (unless you’re exposed to too much too quickly), but as with everything else in life- too much of anything is not good. It adds up. We already had radiation from 4G towers, but they’ve now turned it up a notch with the roll out of 5G which many, many medical doctors and scientists have petitioned to stop. There’s a multitude of videos floating around the internet where medical doctors and scientists discuss the dangers of 5G, but YouTube (which is owned by Google) has made it very hard to find anything that discusses the truth when it comes to radiation from towers or general holistic health. Now, let’s get into HOW to detox these heavy metals from your body.
For general detoxification, fruit is always going to be the most detoxifying food for humans. As I’ve said many times before- it’s our food by nature. For all living beings on earth, the species specific food is always going to be the food that is the most nutritious, digests the quickest and leaves the least amount of metabolic waste. It should be going “in” and coming out with little effort. It shouldn’t require your body to use too many of its own enzymes and energy trying to break it down for a few hours.
Can a 100% raw living foods diet high on fruit remove heavy metals from the body? To an extent. Your body’s lymphatic system is designed to be able to handle toxins. But there are things that you can add into your regime which can greatly assist your efforts in removing heavy metals, regardless of if you’re 100% raw or not. I recognize that the average civilian isn’t going to eat a 100% raw living foods diet where 90% of their calories are coming from fruit like I do. But every plant, food source and herb has it’s own level of consciousness- it’s own way of assisting the body. There are two types of foods that can greatly assist the human body in detoxifying heavy metals.
Those two foods are CILANTRO and CHLORELLA.
CILANTRO 
Cilantro, known scientifically as “Coriandrum sativum,” is used in various ethnic cuisines to add a distinct flavor to the dish. But this flavorful food is also very powerful and medicinal. Rich in vitamins K, A, C & E as well as minerals, this is a powerhouse food. It has been shown to bind to toxic metals such as arsenic, cadmium, aluminum, lead and mercury, loosening them from tissue and facilitating their elimination from the body.
If you want to reduce the accumulated heavy metals in your body, I highly recommend adding cilantro to your routine. If you can juice or blend the cilantro, that’s going to be way more effective and potent. Most people today are at least partially malabsorbed based on how we as humans have eaten for the past few generations. But the beauty of juicing and blending your fruits and vegetables is that it can bypass a lot of the mucus and obstruction in the modern human gut and head straight for the bloodstream. It’s a lot less work for your body to have to deal with and allows for a much easier absorption. Also, keep in mind that leafy greens and herbs are much easier to consume in larger quantities when blended or juiced. It would be nearly impossible to sit down with a pound of cilantro and begin to chew and swallow. You can, however, easily blend it into a sweet smoothie and drink it down much faster.
CHLORELLA
Chlorella is a powerful single-celled, green freshwater algae. There are over 30 different species, but the two types commonly used today are — Chlorella vulgaris and Chlorella pyrenoidosa. It is commonly sold in both powder and tablet form. It contains all of the essential amino acids humans need to survive. Although not ideal, you could technically live off of this food source alone for a very long time. It’s high in iron, vitamins, antioxidants, omega-3s, fiber and more. But for me, one of the most exciting benefits of Chlorella is it’s ability to bind to heavy metals and aid in detoxification, much like cilantro.
Both chlorella and cilantro have strong chelating agents. They binds to heavy metals & toxins, and then remove them from the body through our excretory channels. I highly recommend adding these two superfoods into your diet when planning to do a heavy metal detox.
For those who eat a raw living foods diet, regular consumption of chlorella and cilantro will greatly add to the detoxification process. For those who are eating a clean plant based diet, I recommend a heavy metal detox every 6 months. You can be creative with the length of time you decide to detox for. The longer the detox, the more heavy metals you remove. Try to eat as much raw living food as possible during your detox. For individuals eating the Standard American Diet, you can also add chlorella & cilantro into your diet, but you must understand that both these superfoods work their best to support a diet which is already health promoting. The human body cannot remove toxins while someone is simultaneously adding them into their daily consumption. Nonetheless, you can never go wrong by adding these powerful sources of energy into your life!
